KL SERIES: ROTATION MOTOR REPLACEMENT

When a Knight Series light tower fails to rotate (or does not want to auto park because the tower is off-center), this Technical Video shows technicians how to replace the rotation motor on a Knight Series light tower.

MAINTENANCE/TROUBLESHOOTING

KL SERIES: AUTO-PARK OVERVIEW/TROUBLESHOOTING

This Technical Support video overviews the KL Series’ normal auto-park sequence and shows technicians how to set the tower’s center (through sensor adjustment) and how to eliminate light tree sway (through motor belt adjustment) when the tower fails to auto park.

KL SERIES: ROTATION MOTOR BELT ADJUSTMENT

During routine light tower maintenance or when you need to troubleshoot an off-center tower that is failing to auto park, please reference this video. This video further demonstrates how to tighten the rotation belt to reduce to side-to-side lamp movement.

KL SERIES: NEST SWITCH REPLACEMENT

In tandem with the first two videos in this section, this video shows technicians how to replace the nest switch in a KL Series light tower when it has issues auto-park nesting. (A nest switch provides essential relays when the tower is performing its auto-park sequence.)

KL SERIES: DOWN-LIMIT MERCURY SENSOR ADJUSTMENT

The Mercury sensor controls the tower’s down-limit, which keeps the tower from crashing into itself or the light tower tub as it auto-parks. If you would like to adjust this limit or troubleshoot this auto-park feature, this step-by-step video shows technicians how to adjust this sensor.

KL SERIES: DOWN-LIMIT switch REPLACEMENT

If the lower section of your lamp tree hits center but does not come down during the auto-park sequence, you may need to replace the down-limit switch. This Technical Video provides step-by-step replacement instructions for this switch.

KL SERIES: BACKLIGHT BELT ADJUSTMENT

Over time, the light tower’s belts may loosen and need adjustment. If your lamp heads seem loose, or the heads fail to return home in the auto-park sequence, you may need to tighten your backlight belt. This Technical Video provides step-by-step instructions.

KL SERIES: LOWER ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT

If your lower actuator fails to raise or lower the KL Series’ lower arm, first check that the actuator is receiving voltage. If the actuator is getting power, you may need to replace the lower actuator using these step-by-step video instructions.

KL SERIES: Mid-plate section replacement

If your KL Series tower fails to rotate, the mid-plate's spindle, slip ring, or wire harnes could be damaged, preventing your tower from rotating. Use this step-by-step video tutorial to replace and repair these mid-plate section's components.

BULB/FIXTURE REPLACEMENT

KL SERIES: STROBE BULB REPLACEMENT

This Technical Video provides a step-by-step demonstration, showing you how to replace a FRC Spectra fixture on a CL Series light tower. (Note: These replacement steps are for the CL Series and do not apply to the KL or SL towers.)

If your strobe isn’t working and you’ve replaced the bulb and performed the necessary voltage tests, you may need to replace the strobe. This Technical Video shows technicians step-by-step replacement instructions for the KL Series light tower.

KL SERIES: LUMENFORM BULB REPLACEMENT

This Technical Video shows technicians how to replace the bulb in a KL Series KL435, KL450 and KL465, should the Lumenform bulb go out. (Before ordering the replacement bulb, a quick voltage test will ensure the bulb is receiving power and has indeed expired.)

KL SERIES: LUMENFORM LAMP REPLACEMENT

If your Lumenform isn’t working and you’ve replaced the bulb and performed the necessary voltage tests, you may need to replace the lamp. This Technical Video shows technicians step-by-step lamp replacement instructions for the KL Series KL435, KL450 and KL465.
