In March of 1992, Super Vacuum Mfg. Co., Inc. entered into the business of scene lighting for emergency and utility services, when it unveiled its new-patented Command Light. The Command Light replaced the hydraulically operated light tower invented by the company in the early 1970s; Command Light products are available in various sizes; the Command Light, Knight Light, Shadow RT, and the Shadow.

Whatever your lighting needs, we have a variety of solutions to choose from. All Command Light products are manufactured using aircraft grade aluminum alloy to reduce weight while adding strength. They are engineered to be easily mounted on the roofs of vehicles or anywhere on a vehicle that has the space and strength.

Our lights extend up to 10.5 feet above their mounted surface and are operated from the ground using an umbilical remote control and require only electricity to perform all functions. All of these features have made Command Light products eagerly received by the emergency and utility services market.  Command Light products are the innovative solutions to the tactical problems that darkness imposes on emergency and utility personnel.

It takes less than 15 seconds to deploy the flood light system and position its high intensity lights. Tilt positioning and continuous 360 degree rotation adds to the versatility of the lighting system. Command Light’s attention to detail and customer service is second to none. All of this adds up to the best and most versatile flood lighting package on the market today.

New Facility
Command Light recently completed a move to a newly remodeled building at 3842 Redman Drive in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Encompassing 160,000 square feet, the new building contains all Command Light manufacturing processes including our foundry, water jet, powder coat area and machine shop.  In addition to the new building, there is another 20 acres of land for future expansion.

Command Light had been located 12 miles south in Loveland, Colorado for the past 20 years, but had grown to point of exceeding the available space and was spread over multiple buildings.  The new building is designed to be very energy efficient with computer controlled lighting, security and air movement. The washing process for the powder paint area has been engineered to be zero discharge.  The west end of the property is a designated wet land, including a warm water spring that is heavily visited by migratory ducks and geese.  The wet land and surrounding buffer area will not be disturbed.

The expansion was necessary to accommodate the increased order levels for both Lighting and Traffic control products.  By moving all operations under one roof, there is much efficiency to be gained to reduce both lead times and product costs.  For more information, feel free to call Command Light at 1-800-797-7974, we look forward to your call.
